Pre-handover checklist for a Clyde volume build
What to have in hand before you sign at practical completion.
In short: Two thirds of everything we photograph in Clyde comes from the PCI. This is what to check and when.
Book before the date, not after
Practical completion is the last point where the builder must fix things at their cost. Book about a week ahead so the list is in their hands before you are asked to sign.
Roof water and drainage
Gutters clear, downpipes connected, stormwater actually reaching a legal discharge point. Broken or blocked stormwater is a recurring Clyde finding.
External fabric
Mortar gaps under window sills, unsealed slab to driveway joints and eave sections needing caulking.
Wet areas
Water stop angle finish, hob grading, grout sealing and falls to the waste.
Windows and seals
Missing weather seals are common and easy to miss on a walk through.
The termite notice
It should be in the meter box. We find it missing regularly.
